Ben Sodenkamp has been training Brazilian Zouk Since 2013. Starting on Seattle’s first zouk team, he advanced into a teaching role in Seattle, training and bringing performance zouk teams to LA Zouk festival. In 2017 Ben moved to Phoenix to launch the Phoenix zouk scene with his partner Kiki Jenkins. From 2017 through 2020, they established a thriving and growing community through their dance school: Zouk Phoenix. Ben has trained extensively with Paloma Alvez and Val Clemente in Rio de Janeiro, as well as drawing frequent instruction from many other internationally known teachers. Ben now teaches at Denver School of Social Dance.
